| KASHMIR! Life is like a small station where sometimes some people stop for a little while and some people stay for a long time. Some people have such a good fortune that they stay alive forever and ever. Who come to live for themselves but to keep the candles of other people's lives burning bright, they put out the candles of their lives themselves happily. I'm talking about those guardians, who, for the sake of their country, for the future of the nation, sacrifice their own lives. It is a weird thing that guarding the door of even your own home becomes a crime. Allah has given us life. This earth is Allah's. People have gained independence for themselves by themselves. No one can have the right to destroy the home that we have built for ourselves and have arranged it for our future. Who is to tell those people who play with fire and blood and then come to our doorstep, that flowers still bloom. That little children still laugh heartily. No one has been given the right to uproot these flowers and take away the laughs and smiles of these children. The color of all the blood that has flown on the rocky & snow-eaten mountains of Kargil and the beautiful valley of Kashmir is the same. The color of the tears of all their mothers is the same. The sound of the sobbing of all the children is the same. Then why do our neighbor come to our doorstep with burning embers again and again? They can come with flowers of love and peace in their hands also. What kind of knowledge is this that to burn the homes of others, they burn their own hands also? Martyrs or Shuhada' have the need of neither any praise nor any reward. But nations always keep their martyrs alive in their hearts and homes and always remember them in their history. They defeat their death in the desire to stay alive. They have the future of the whole nation in their hands. The names and deeds of these great martyrs and leaders of faith will always stay alive in the hearts of the people and will echo in the winds of the mountains of Kargil and the valley of Kashmir. Insha 'Allah, their dreams will come true some day, and Insha' Allah, one day, the struggles and sacrifices of these brave men will prove fruitful. Amen! |
