WIN TOP HONORS IN GOLF EVENT By Parwaiz Imam |
RIYADH, Nov. 21, 2000 – E. Ulbro and M. Thompson won the top awards
with challenging scores in their respective categories at the recently concluded one day
club championship which was organized by the Riyadh Intercontinental Golf club at its
prestigious grass course located in the heart of the city center. G. Harris and E. Macsorley clinched the other places. During the course of the tournament, R. Renton had a hole in one at the second hole of the 9-hole course. Two nearest the pin wards went to J. Mclean and G. Rumbellow. To make things livelier, the gala concluded with lunch and prize presentation. Jason Fullard, the director of Golf club and a PGA professional presented the trophies and prizes to the winners. |
The stroke play event was a great
success as it was well supported by the members as well as the management of the hotel.
Chris Moloney, the new general manager of the five star hotel and the president of the
gold club also took part in this yearly event.
