RIYADH, July 18, 2000 As the awarding gala for the lower
flight winners ended in an impressive style at the Al Najd compound, the teams of Lucent
Technologies, Multinational Tennis Buffs and SAMBA Speedcash grabbed the top honors in
Divisions 4, 5 and 6 respectively in the Spring Season Nike Riyadh Team Tennis League
(RTTL).
The prize distribution ceremony for the top divisions 1, 2 and 3 is also planned to be
held separately at the Al Najd compound thanks to the courtesy of Abdullah Al Thehaiban,
assistant managing director of Sport Ghornatah, the sole agent of Nike sport wears in the
Kingdom, which is the main sponsor of the RTTL activity for the last twenty-four years.
In addition to the large crowd, the colorful function was also graced by Farouk El Laithy,
the RTTL chairman and A. Al Thehaiban. They presented awards to the deserving teams. Many
give aways from Sport Ghornatah during the ceremony made the climax more thrilling for
all.
The RTTL organizing committee comprises El Laithy, Mike Maddock vice chairman with
