RIYADH, Nov. 21, 2000 – KFSH Sarawat Superstore maintained its
winning run to eye for the Division IV title as they recorded another fine victory, this
time over Al Ghabban Eagles by 47-33 in the Fall Season 2000 Nike Riyadh Team Tennis
League (RTTL).
Of some thrilling action, L. Maghmoul beat G. Talatala 8-5 while the R. Suarez-M. Sahi
pair set aside J. Garcia-M. Villasenor 8-5. In the same division, Kingdom City outplayed
King Faisal Hospital II by 43-39 score. Here, M. Pistecky of the victors lost to R.
Drequito 5-8 but in the doubles, their M. Berends-W. Gielen down N. Malonzo-R. Rint 8-7.
The race for the Division III also continues in full swing. Tennis Phoibics are leading in
this division followed by Cavaliers. The latter in their clash with Vinnel Arabia, won
52-41. The winning team pair, R. Onias-B. De Leon lost to R. Miraflor-L. Cabaguing 7-8 but
they clinched the important single tie when P. Pagulayan beat Miraflor with an identical
margin.
In the other encounter, King Fahad Hospital EAC I beat Al Yamama 49-35. The combination of
W. Catiis-C. Esplanada overcame P. Casey-K. Moukarzel 8-5 and then in the next, C.
Lintag-F. Loh also defeated C. Barabas-A. Pervinkler with a similar score.
