Cordoba, Most Tennis, AKMICH & KFH Win Last Round Matches in Nike Riyadh Team Tennis League By Parwaiz Imam |

Saudi Arabia, May 29, 2001 The teams, Cordoba, Most Tennis, AKMICH and King Fahad
Hospital/Al Makateb II won their last round matches in their respective divisions as the
2001 Spring Nike Riyadh Team Tennis League (RTTL) season came to an end. Cordoba (CCTC) despite their narrow victory over the leaders North, South and Central (NSC) by 45-44 managed to finish second in Division II. Both teams have a 5-win 1-loss record. NSC accumulated 82 points difference, 62 more than CCTC. NSC lined up with Nilo Eugenio, Felix Pacleb, Edwin Cabilangan, Robert Drequito, Lito Hoyumpa, Romy Onias, C. Arrastia, J. Borjal, C. Malayas and M. Tuquiero. CCTC members included T. Allion, A. Mailhe, Eddie Manzano, John Kornacki, Ky Lehoang, Robert Chau, J. C. Mailhe, Tuyen Do and Dennis Allion. Of some thrilling matches, Manzano beat Cabilangan 8-6. Le Hoang-Maihle lost to Cabilangan-Arrastia 6-8 and Allion-Garret lost to Borjal-Arrastia 5-8. In Division III, Most Tennis squad
won the honors here by defeating Security Forces Hospital. Silvederio beat Camara 8-7 in
the singles. Santiago-Paglinawan lost to Serrano-Minas 6-8. The losers was placed third. AKMICH set aside Electrolink by 41-38 to top in Division IV. After their loss, They have to be satisfied with the third place. Here, Cabug-Coraidi beat Tutanes-Malonzo 8-7. In the other doubles, Tamayo-Manzanares beat Sahibbil-fernandez 8-5. In the last of the Division V, King Fahad Hospital/Al Makateb II recorded a facile win over SFH 51-25 to grab title. By virtue of this loss, SFH landed fifth. In some of the good encounters, Castro down Hipolito 8-1. Nalicat-Manaagan defeated Pineda-Fuentes 8-5. Viado-Celera down Fraila-Alcarioro 8-2 in the last of the days action.
Chairman Farouk El Laithy, ably supported by M. Carido, S. Marasigan and other members are gearing up for the colorful awards presentation planned to be held at Najds compound hall shortly.
